Well I have been lazy and busy. Don’t expect many posts on this blog. I am not much of a writer, but do post some things. One game I have played for well over a year is called Hack Wars. It a virtual hacking simulation game. It is really fun and even includes its own programming language called HackScript. Now the language is fake of course, but is based apon the C and JAVA programming languages. You have your own VPC. You can hack others, mal/virus them, grind, and more. Grinding is the process of hitting NPC’s, or non-player computers repeatedly for a period of time to increase your stats and be a high level player.The highest level is 800. Stats to rank include: Merchant, Attack, Watch, HTTP, Redirect, Repair, Firewall, and Scan. Each go to 100 as the max skill level. What I am saying is only a part of the game, to find out the rest, register and play…It’s FREE! Oh and HackWars is getting a MAJOR update around December 7th… If yo do register, just say pcfreak30 referred you..:-)

Well, the google code project is pretty slow. i hope to get to it soon. For now i keep getting asked more and more about hacking and that stuff. i won’t ever teach someone to “hack’ a website or MySpace, because its not right for one, and two I suck at it. i will teach to hack devices like PSP’s, iPhones, iTouches, etc. reason for that is it only helps them and doesn’t hurt anyone else but the big corps. So over a bit, I will be adding a full hacking tutorial section. Keep an eye out for your favorite devices or game console. BTW, i won’t link to game or ROM dumps, so please don’t ask. If you want them, google or go to a torrent site.

Well I just got back from visiting family for two weeks and am ready to roll. I got to thinking about a new site layout. Very soon I will be in the works of a new web 2.0 site with js animations through scriptaculous/prototype or jquery. One reason for this is because I got tired of not being able to make any pages at derrickhammer.com/blah because of the seo rewrites the blog uses. I am also soon going to work on a script that i call EZ H.U.M.S. EZ Hammer User Management System. In shorts its going to be a n00b friendly member system. You can restrict pages with it and other stuff. I will post updates about the site make over very soon, and maybe some screen shots too. Also my last post on the iphone 3g faq stuff is not completly true. Turns out I was mistaken on the fact that only iphones have basebands, and now they have 3.0 jailbroken and unlocked. DO NOT upgrade to 3.1 though. The update upgrades you baseband and makes apple a happy dog. Dev-Team are releasing tools for the 3.1 fix soon. iTouch 2G

• I get an error when trying to upgrade or restore to 3.0..-> Well I believe you must update iTunes to the latest 8.2 version. I believe that some protocols were updated that require that.
• What do I do to jailbreak my iTouch on windows, since atm the Dev-Team have not released QuickPwn.. ->Use redsn0w. Its available for windows, linux, and mac. truthly, im not 100% absolute that that will work, but will give an update once I try it myself.
• If I upgrade to 3.0 will my baseband update too and kill any jailbreak?..-> It may, but do remember that jailbreaks for itouch 1g and 2g users are permanent. They are jailbroken through hardware, not software. Apple could release a thousand updates, and you would still have it jailbroken, atleast just have to re-jailbreak.
• Will cydia still work when I upgrade..-> It should. there is a chance it will not through redsn0w because it contains the 2.x OS version. If it doesnt, talk on forums, the Dev-Teams blog, or hackintosh irc.
• How can I backup my stuff on upgrade in case something goes wrong..-> you should use Aptbackup off of cydia. I may blog a detail of a better solution based off what that app does..

iPhone 3G

• When will ultrasn0w be out. give IT NOWWW!!!!!!-> Chill man, the Dev-Team don’t get paid for this you know and don’t accept donations either. It will be out soon and when it is ready. Never ask for an ETA because you will be flamed, and the Dev-team learned their lesson about ETA’s during the iPhone 2G jailbreak and unlock era.
• can I upgrade to 3.0, jailbreak, then run ultrasn0w later.. -> yes.
• I found a site promising an unlock and jailbreak, should I do it?? -> NO. All jailbreaks and unlocks are and always will be from cydia. be careful on sites that tell you to pay for it. even sites that give it for free should not be fully trusted. They Dev-Team tells all that is needed and if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Only thing that is the exception to that is the Dev-Team themselves, those genius hackers they are, lol.

iPhone 2G and iTouch 1G

You should not have any issues upgrading. iTouch users, you still have and always will have the hardware bootrom exploit for all your jailbreak goodness. I do believe there is an 3.0 for you too. iPhone 2G, you still have you jailbreak and unlock as well. I believe it is baseband based though, but don’t worry. All current tools will work with your stuff.

Well its true I haven’t been around in my blog in a bit. I just wasn’t interested so much. Well its sumer now and im getting bored of cod4 and things, so I cleaned up my site, did some info updated and added a few things. You would not believe how many spam bots registered on my site. Almost 3 pages worth. Many had random names and included viagra, lol. I also switched my comments system to intense debate. Will be alot better that way. Don’t try to post retarded or spam comments because they will always be filtered and moderated by me. I have updated my contact and about pages too. I am officially a senior as well, thank gosh on that one. Please comment on my blog. Since I put this up, it has been a ghost town with very few subscribers. Long story short, im back in the game and hitting the ball for a goal… Any posts in the past about future products will not happen for now, if ever. i will post though if I decide to code something. If the info is not on my site or a profile of mine, its probably not true. I will also add my profiles on the web to my links for it to be easy on the n00bs, jk. ok, there are hundreds of tutorials on how to do this. this is mine, and is n00b friendly.
the iPhone-Dev team has done the extremely hard work for us, and as usual it is all free. So this is the basic scenario. You recieved a itouch 2g some how, and you have heard about this “jailbreak’ thing/crap. So what is it. There is a tech geek side and a n0bb I dont care, I just want it, side. Well, jailbreaking will allow you itouch to not be locked down by apple. you get all the FREE apps you could ever want, and do WHATEVER you want. You can theme it out, do what ever. Me, currently I have a MS Windows 7/Vista theme. Changing it real soon. You can have a custom boot logo, which is the little graphic that comes on while you turn it on (do not use logome though. It will jack up your itouch) . You can run Game Boy Advance GAMES on it with the gpPhone emulator app, like donkey kong, and super mario. Simply but, if someone can program it, and it works, you can use it. you can still of course buys apps from the Apple app store. I dont recommend it, since you can get them illegally, (aka cracked apps). But more on that for another day…

As a side note, I will post on my youtube channel how this is done, or an updated method if things change in the hacking area between now and when I get time to make it.

Instructions:

1. go to redsn0w.com ( thats a zero, not an “o”)
2. download the version for Windows to my documents. Note this is a torrent. If you do not know what that it is, look it up on wikipedia. Once you have downloaded the zip file, continue.
4. extract the zip file. If you dont know how or cant for somereason, google 7zip. To extract normally without 7zip just right-click the archive and go to extract all, and follow the prompt (no password required).
4. Go to Start -> Run.
5. type in “cmd” (without quotes).
6. a small program with a black background will come up. It will have a blinking cursor. never go into the cmd (aka command prompt). UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Inproper use of it can make your computer inoperable.

7. now assuming the the redsn0w files were extracted in My Documents/redsn0w (change commands as needed if required) type in this. press enter after each line.

Commands:

cd my documents
cd redsn0w

—END of commands——

8. now press alt ctrl del in that order.keep buttons held down until the task manager comes up.
9. go to processes. Now fine any program itunes/ipod related, and kill it (end process). this includes itunes, ituneshelper, and ipodservice. this is just to make sure itunes/apple doent screw with the jailbreak.
10. now, you can put your itouch now or let redsn0w tell you how to do it.

[DFU boot Instructions]
turn off your itouch, keep it connected. hold the power for 3 seconds. keep it held. the moment you see the apple logo, hold the home as well as the power for 10 seconds. Let go of the power, and hold for 30 seconds. its in DFU mode. Note dfu mode looks like the device if powered off. If itunes comes up, exit it and repeat step 8 from above.
[End DFU boot instructions]

11. now go back to the black cmd windows.
12. now if you have already gone into dfu mode on you itouch, engore the first instructions in the redsn0w app that you are about to run.
13. type (without quotes) “./redsn0w”
14. follow the instructions.
15. at one point you will have to reconnect your itouch to your pc, due to a bug that could not be fixed from what I read in the program.
16. just let it do its thing.
17. you soon will have a jailbroken itouch.

ok, I have been reading up on some stuff. I have found a way to get free and legal music with the power of Google. this is not a joke, trick, or a form of  “rickroll”. I have personally tested it.  So how? Well to do it minorly complicated, but I have made a ie/firefox search engine for it. That is a custom search that will go into ur browser. You know.. The search bar to the right. Well custom search engines can be made and installed. This is mine. So no more torrents, frostwire/limewire, or anything of this sort. Come on the legal side under the terms that it is still totally FREE!

Ok. sorry that I havent posted in forever. Just kind of lost interest… Anyway for now no scripts or etc are in development. Instead I am building a community. It will be based around ps3, xbox and pc gaming. Including cod4 & 5 hacks, cracks, and mods. Also jailbreaking iphones and itouches. I will also have a board for my ps3 clan Riflemen.
